U16 NENSA Ski Competitions

The 2023 U16 NENSA Ski Competitions will be held at the Fort Kent Outdoor Center March 17th, 18th and 19th.
We will be hosting ~190 teenage racers from all over Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts for 3 days of racing. The Schedule of Events is:
Friday, March 17th:
8:00-11:30am: Course open for skiing
10:30am: Race headquarters open for bib pick-up Rm 35 wax Bldg
12:00pm: Team leader meeting Green room in Lodge
2:00pm: Boys 5K freestyle race
3:30pm: Girls 5K freestyle race
4:30pm: Skate Awards Stadium
5:00-7:00pm: Dinner at UMFK (if reserved in advance) Nowland Hall, UMFK
Saturday, March 18th:
7:00am: Bibbed coaches can access course to test wax Nordic Trails
8:00am: Race headquarters Main Lodge
8:00am: Course opens to skiers
9:00am: Boys 5K classic race
10:30am: Girls 5k classic race
11:30-12:00am: Course closed for regrooming Nordic Trails
11:30am: Classic Awards Stadium
12:00pm: Course reopens
2:00pm: Boys XCX sprint race
3:00pm: Girls XCX sprint race
4:00pm: XCX Sprint Awards Stadium
5:00–7:00pm: Banquet at FK Elementary School Gym 108 Pleasant St.
Sunday, March 19th:
7:00am: Bibbed coaches can access course to test wax Nordic Trails
7:30am: Race headquarters open for bib pick-up Rm 35 wax Bldg
7:30am: Team Leader meeting for the relay
7:30am: Course opens to skiers
9:00am: 4 x 2.5k Mixed Relay
11:00am: Awards (follow calculation of team scores) Stadium
